Itinerary (Tentative)
Day 1: Arrival
Arrive via private transportation to the hotel in the middle of Poblado, a trendy sector full of nice restaurants and nightlife. Check-in is at 3:00 pm. Plan to arrive before 6:00 pm so you'll make it to the welcome dinner.

Meet the rest of the group at the welcome dinner. Dress in Black

Day 2: Comuna 13 & AfroColombian dance class
Learn about the history and influence of the AfroColombian population in one of the most trendy and artistic neighborhoods in the city, Comuna 13.

In the evening, there's an AfroColombian dance lesson followed by a Bunde. Bunde is a traditional celebratory communal dance reminiscent of collective dance experiences like second lines or a soul train.

Day 3: Art and Cooking Class
Reclaim ancestral knowledge of medicinal herbs and plants through an art class where you will learn about plants linked to customs throughout the African Diaspora. Then, continue with an AfroColombian cooking class implementing the knowledge learned in the art class and learning more ancestral cooking wisdom.

Day 4: Guatape
Scale the over 700 steps to see the spectacular view of Colombia's countryside. Then, spend the afternoon walking around one of the most colorful towns in the world before going glamping *.
Helicopter ride can be arranged for a fee.
*Glamping will be lakefront accommodations

Day 5: Relaxing in Guatape
Wake up after a calm night disconnected from the real world and connected to nature. Spend the morning relaxing or join the group for a morning cruise around the reservoir. You'll see impressive mansions including the abandoned mansion of Pablo Escobar. The option to wakeboard and Jetski is available for a fee.

Farewell dinner in the evening to close out the trip

Day 6: Farewell
Say farewell and return to the MDE airport. Airport is around 1.5 hours away so keep that in mind.
